Tenants and landlords have told us that people are getting hurt. One tenant told us a landlord was badly beaten and had his legs broken by a tenant. Another tenant is worried that safe play space in her area is non existant, she has to go to her friends out of the area so her children can play freely. Landlords are saying they are scared to rent thier properties, because of tenants destroying the property. The Tribunal has little or no regard for the landlords in the room when free lawyers are provided for tenants. Landlords sit in the same room out months of rent and possible damage to thier property, mutually agreed contract was signed and was broken. The Tribunal needs to provide fair practices , let lawyers work for both sides and decrease eviction turn around time, so the market can remain competitive and good homes will be available to everyone. The forms should be more straight forward. The system is not working because people are getting hurt. We reccomend tenants and landlords contact the Tribunal , and thier local MPP office and tell them of thier desire and give them suggestions. We at landlord connections believe this will help to change it for the good of everyone

landlords and tenants

well its been a long time in coming we finally have a blog site. We will be posting new blogs as information and changes occur.
In the industry recently we have gotten alot of calls from tenants telling us there are limited good spaces for rent.
landlords are telling us they are fed up with the Tribunal such as the cost for filing and the complicated forms. They wish the Tribunal was non existant. They are also complaining about some workers from the Ontario Works office, apparently some workers are great and keep there rent payments consistent while others decide to not pay one landlord but turns around and pays the other landlord for the same tenant.
The mental health workers landlords are now saying are also becoming increasingly difficult to work with as they too are deciding to move clients with little or no notice or for that matter any explanation.
We at landlord connections are hoping the industry improves for the sake of the communities and families landlords and tenants serve.
